Swordfish Interoperability
The ability to electronically share documents between Insurance trading Partners is seen as key in enabling the London Market to continue to compete effectively on the global stage. To provide a framework for achieving this level of cooperative working, the ACORD Messaging Service Specification was published in 2004.
Swordfish Interoperability will allow user to search not only their own repository for documents matching given criteria, but also search designated third party repositories enabling all results to be seamlessly displayed in the Swordfish viewer. Swordfish Interoperability will allow documents to be downloaded (pulled) from other repositories or receipt of a notification from the third party.
