Medway Council is a unitary authority in North Kent that provides the full range of local government services for its 250,000 citizens. The Medway region encompasses the towns of Rochester, Strood, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham and rural areas such as the Hoo Peninsula. The council works in partnership with private, public and voluntary sectors to serve the people of Medway.

Medway wanted to improved accessibility and security of its files. By installing Swordfish EDM and scanning paper documents, the council has overcome the problem of accessing the huge amounts of paper files stored at different locations. At the same time, it has dramatically reduced the security threat facing paper documents, leading to greater peace of mind. Medway is now enjoying the by-products of achieving its key objectives - improved customer service and greater operational efficiency.
